Job description

The PrePress Tech Concierge Consultant is the bridge between Prepress and Dev/Engineering: the first point of contact for prepress technology needs across card production, and the person who translates operator pain points into clear, well-organized requirements that engineering teams can act on. Working under the direction of the Prepress Engineering Domain Owner, the consultant supports prepress modernization and workflow alignment, keeps the data and documentation behind that work accurate and current, and keeps stakeholders and leadership informed.

The mandate is simple to state and demanding to execute: no operator pain point gets lost in translation, every request reaches engineering well-defined, and the information prepress and leadership rely on is organized, current, and trustworthy.

Systems in Scope

Primary: CardFactory, Adobe Workfront / Product Builder, XMPie, LucidLink, Hybrid Cloudflow, Adobe Frame.io

Secondary: Kodak Prinergy, SPI, 4AP, Cropster

Stakeholder Groups Served

Initial scope:

· Creative

· Editorial

· Prepress Engineering (PPE)

· PC / Composition Operators and Variable Data Services (VDS)

· Image Coordinators and Retouchers

Future phases (not in initial scope):

· Prinergy Operations (Allen)

· - Sunnyvale

· Relic Operations

· Digital Post (marketing assets derived from final print production content)

Success Measures

· Intake-to-triage cycle time for prepress technology requests

· Share of requests reaching engineering with complete, written requirements and acceptance criteria

· Reduction in rework and clarification cycles between prepress and engineering

· Operator satisfaction with CardFactory dashboards and with support responsiveness

· Accuracy and currency of the request tracker, system inventory, and workflow documentation

· Contribution to on-time delivery of modernization and CardFactory dashboard milestones

Requirements

· 3-5 years in technology or technical support roles focused on prepress, print production, or manufacturing environments

· Demonstrated experience documenting workflows and writing requirements, user stories, or defect reports for engineering teams

· Impeccable organizational skills: proven ability to run trackers, backlogs, and documentation that others rely on as the source of truth

· Strong UX sensibility, with experience specifying operator-facing tools

· Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical production stakeholders, and prepress pain points to engineers, in writing and in person

· Experience managing stakeholder relationships and reporting status to leadership

· Fluency with work-tracking tools such as Atlassian Jira or Adobe Workfront

· Able to work onsite in Coppell, TX and travel to Allen, TX and Sunnyvale, TX as needed

Preferred

· Hands-on familiarity with one or more of the systems in scope (XMPie, Kodak Prinergy, Adobe Workfront, LucidLink, CardFactory, Hybrid Cloudflow, Adobe Frame.io, or comparable)

· Experience with variable data printing (VDP) and composition workflows

· Background in trading card, packaging, or high-volume commercial print production

· Business analysis, program, or product management certification (CBAP, CSPO, PMP, or similar), or equivalent experience

· Basic SQL, Excel, or scripting skills for pulling and reconciling production data

· Experience working across geographically distributed teams and time zones

· Prior consulting or contract engagement experience with enterprise clients
