Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure while driving automation, deployment efficiency, and operational excellence. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, orchestration, monitoring, and DevOps best practices., * Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, deployment, and release management.

• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep templates, or equivalent tools.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, or Google GKE.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to streamline infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks.
• Implement configuration management and automation using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, Datadog, Splunk, or cloud-native monitoring services.
• Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure Repos.
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, access control, and compliance.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production issues, ensuring high system availability and reliability.
• Implement disaster recovery, backup strategies, high availability, and business continuity solutions.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, architecture, and operations teams to improve software delivery and operational efficiency.
• Establish DevOps standards, reusable pipeline templates, deployment strategies, and infrastructure automation frameworks.
• Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code and infrastructure reviews, and provide technical leadership across DevOps initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement through DevOps maturity assessments, automation, and adoption of emerging technologies.

• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with cloud networking, compute, storage, identity and access management, load balancing, and security services.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.

1. CI/CD and DevOps Tools * Expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar tools. * Experience with automated builds, testing, artifact management, deployment approvals, and release strategies. * Knowledge of blue-green, rolling, and canary deployments.

2. Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management * Strong experience with Terraform and at least one additional provisioning or configuration management tool. * Experience creating reusable infrastructure modules, managing environments, and automating infrastructure changes. * Understanding of configuration drift, state management, and infrastructure version control.

3. Containers and Orchestration * Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container lifecycle management. * Experience with Helm charts, Kubernetes deployments, services, ingress, autoscaling, and secrets. * Familiarity with container registries and microservices-based architectures.

4. Scripting and Programming * Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. * Ability to develop automation scripts, troubleshoot system issues, and integrate APIs. * Familiarity with YAML, JSON, and pipeline configuration files.

5. Monitoring and Observability * Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Datadog. * Knowledge of metrics, distributed tracing, alerting, dashboards, and incident management. * Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and improve system reliability.

6. Security and Compliance * Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and encryption. * Experience integrating security testing, dependency scanning, container scanning, and infrastructure scanning into CI/CD pipelines. * Understanding of least-privilege access, audit logging, and compliance requirements.

7. Operating Systems and Networking * Strong knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting. * Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and network security. * Experience troubleshooting connectivity, resource utilization, and application performance issues., * 10+ years of overall experience in IT, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud engineering. * Significant hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade DevOps solutions. * Proven experience building and maintaining production CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure provisioning. * Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider and modern containerization technologies. * Experience supporting production environments, resolving critical incidents, and implementing root cause analysis. * Understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, version control, release management, and change management. * Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills. * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience., * Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments. * Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), SLI/SLO concepts, error budgets, and service reliability practices. * Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux. * Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd. * Experience with platform engineering, self-service infrastructure, and internal developer platforms. * Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization. * Experience with DevSecOps, policy as code, and compliance automation. * Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
