IAM Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a highly technical Identity and Access Management Engineer to support enterprise IAM infrastructure for a leading Midwest organization. This role requires hands-on experience implementing, integrating, configuring, and troubleshooting IAM systems. The engineer will diagnose issues across authentication, directories, applications, servers, integrations, and identity platforms. We are seeking someone comfortable getting under the HOOD of IAM technologies and resolving complex production issues., * Engineer, configure, integrate, and support enterprise IAM solutions.

• Troubleshoot complex authentication, authorization, provisioning, and access issues.
• Diagnose IAM issues across Windows, Linux/Unix, directories, applications, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Integrate applications with enterprise IAM and identity governance platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot SSO, SAML, federation, and authentication services.
• Support Active Directory, LDAP, and enterprise directory integrations.
• Develop and maintain connectors, workflows, provisioning processes, and identity integrations.
• Support privileged identities, service accounts, credential management, and PAM/PIM technologies.
• Investigate production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Support identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve IAM administration and reliability.
• Partner with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Application teams on IAM implementations and production issues.

• 3+ years of hands-on Identity and Access Management experience.
• Strong experience engineering and troubleshooting IAM technologies in enterprise environments.
• Experience implementing, configuring, or integrating IAM solutions.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, federation, and identity lifecycle concepts.
• Experience with SSO and protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, or enterprise directory services.
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex IAM integrations and production issues.
• Familiarity with APIs, connectors, scripting, or automation within IAM environments.
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills., * Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ, Saviynt, One Identity, Omada, or comparable IGA technologies.
• Experience with Entra ID, ADFS, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar identity providers.
• Experience with CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, or comparable PAM solutions.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, SCIM, JDBC, or other integration technologies.
• Scripting or development experience using PowerShell, Python, Java, BeanShell, C#, or .NET.
• Experience with MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, and identity governance.
• Azure, AWS, or GCP experience.
• Relevant cybersecurity or identity certifications.
