Sr Prin Software Engineer for Space Payloads - SIGN-ON BONUS

Our teams are growing, and as a software engineer working with our Space Systems’ programs, you would be partnered with domain SMEs and a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver software solutions enabling exciting new capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

Shape the design & development of an embedded space payload application in C or C

Collaborate across sites and across disciplines to bring a new capability to life

Efficiently respond to developing requirements

Due to the importance, this position offers a Sign-On Bonus. (Note: Current BAE Systems employees are ineligible for sign-on bonuses.)

• 8 years of embedded software development experience, preferably with C
• Team leadership experience or aptitude
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Familiarity with the space domain and/or software-defined radios
• Experience with OpenC3’s COSMOS (https://openc3.com/) and NASA’s cFS
• Experience creating automated build pipelines such as, gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible, & Atlassian tools

Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
