Job description

  • Support the development and deployment of AI solutions across the firm.
  • Design, build and maintain trusted AI that enhances legal service delivery, knowledge management and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, knowledge professionals and business services teams to deliver and support secure, scalable AI solutions.

Technologies:

  • Agentic AI
  • AI
  • Azure
  • Copilot

  • Cloud

Requirements

  • Extensive experience within the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Azure DevOps.
  • Practical experience building and deploying AI or machine learning solutions into production, not solely academic, research or proof-of-concept work.
  • Software development capability, ideally with Python; JavaScript or other development languages are an advantage.
  • Solid technical understanding of LLMs, NLP, machine learning fundamentals and prompt engineering.
  • Experience designing prompts, grounding strategies and knowledge integrations to produce reliable AI responses.
  • Ability to work with agentic AI and integrate AI solutions into existing workflows and core business systems.
  • Experience assessing and integrating third-party AI platforms and tools, building proofs of concept and contributing to build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Understanding of AI security, data privacy, access controls and auditability, plus awareness of relevant regulatory requirements, including GDPR and the EU AI Act.
  • Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and explain complex AI concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Pragmatic, risk-aware approach focused on trusted, reliable and explainable AI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively across teams, functions and international offices.
  • Legal or professional services experience is beneficial but not essential. Experience in another complex professional environment where security, confidentiality and reliability are important is also relevant.
  • Hands-on AI engineering experience building and deploying production solutions, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem. This is not a purely strategic AI or innovation role, nor a traditional data science role without strong software engineering and solution-delivery experience.

Benefits & conditions

We are a professional services business based in the City of London. This hands-on technical role offers the opportunity to influence and shape how AI is used across our firm. The working arrangement is three days in the office each week and two days from home. Salary is dependent on experience.
