You will develop the software, computer vision methods and graphical user interfaces that connect large-scale imaging data with biological interpretation. The role spans research and implementation: from evaluating new learning methods to building maintainable analysis workflows that scientists can use. Your work will support RNA and protein image analysis, anatomical mapping and spatial analysis of therapeutic delivery. Your responsibilities

• Build modular software with automated data flows for large biological image datasets, including reproducible processing, analysis and visualization workflows.

• Develop and evaluate RNA segmentation against expert annotations and methods for segmenting mouse and human anatomy. Explore self-supervised, active, continual and multiscale learning to improve generalization across datasets.

• Make model performance interpretable through validation, confidence estimates and warnings that help users identify results requiring review.

• Develop graph-based approaches to analyze spatial drug distribution and map therapeutic delivery to anatomical structures.

• Build intuitive graphical user interfaces for exploring complex RNA and protein images, reviewing AI results, integrating custom algorithms, supporting active learning and exporting results.

• Help design a petabyte-scale data backbone for storage, backup and transfer, with secure authentication, encryption and attention to applicable data-protection requirements.
