Senior Software Engineer

Build and maintain scalable backends using Python (FastAPI or Flask) Design APIs that power AI workflows and modular decision logic Work with Redis and WebSockets to support real-time features Improve testing, performance, and system security Collaborate with product, frontend and fellow engineers Contribute to architecture, deployment pipelines and monitoring

5+ years of backend experience, preferably 3+ in a SaaS or product environment Proficient in Python and familiar with modern API frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) Hands-on experience with Redis, Docker, GitHub Actions or equivalent tools Exposure to LLMs or AI integrations (or interest in working with them) Broad technical knowledge across architecture, CI/CD, security and testing Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus Must be living in the Netherlands with valid EU work authorizationTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Monthly salary: €5500 - €9000 gross + 8% holiday allowance Equity via stock plan MacBook Pro and home office setup budget 25 vacation days + 2 additional personal days Hybrid work model (office-first with flexibility) Daily team lunch, internal bootcamps and knowledge sharing Long-term role with clear growth opportunities (e.g. Lead Engineer) Important We can only consider candidates who currently live in the Netherlands and hold a valid EU work permit.
