VDACS - Business Analyst 4

The client is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support application development initiatives by gathering, documenting, and validating business and system requirements. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring requirements are clearly defined, tested, and implemented successfully. The role also includes manual testing, test plan development, defect tracking, and support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Responsibilities: Conduct project initiation activities to identify business problems, objectives, and system requirements. Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business users and stakeholders. Create SDLC-compliant Requirements Definition Documents. Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements. Ensure requirements documentation is clear, complete, accurate, and compliant with agency standards. Develop and maintain project documentation templates and standards. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with development teams. Represent business requirements during application design and development discussions. Create, maintain, and execute system test plans and test scripts. Perform manual testing of web-based applications. Identify, document, and track application defects and system issues. Assist in developing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and scripts. Conduct meetings, gather feedback, and document project decisions. Support business process improvement and system implementation activities. Required/Preferred Skills

8+ years of experience in business and systems analysis, requirements documentation, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. 8+ years of experience defining and documenting user requirements from multiple stakeholders and creating complex business requirements documents. 8+ years of experience supporting application development, maintenance, implementation, systems analysis, and business process improvement. 8+ years of experience documenting business processes and developing process flows for new systems. 8+ years of experience testing complex business applications and validating business requirements. 8+ years of experience conducting meetings and documenting project decisions. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Experience writing and executing test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts. Experience performing manual testing on web applications. Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects and application issues. Preferred Skills: 2+ years of experience working on .NET web application development projects. 2+ years of experience documenting requirements within Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).
