Solutions Architect

• Meet with business stakeholders to understand processes, clarify requirements, and develop complete solution designs.
• Map application relationships, integration points, data responsibilities, and dependencies across existing and proposed systems.
• Assess commercial software, SaaS platforms, and custom applications to determine the best approach for business requirements.
• Prioritize standard product functionality and configuration before proposing custom development.
• Establish consistent approaches for APIs, middleware, messaging, event-driven integrations, and file transfers.
• Incorporate validation, exception handling, retries, logging, monitoring, and reconciliation into integration designs.
• Collaborate with application and analytics teams to establish trusted data sources and limit unnecessary duplication.
• Plan phased upgrades and replacements for aging applications while maintaining essential business functions.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams on access controls, connectivity, credential protection, performance, availability, and recovery requirements.
• Compare technology options based on business benefit, cost, security, scalability, ongoing support, and implementation risk.
• Produce architecture diagrams and maintain clear records of interfaces, design decisions, and technical risks.
• Advise developers, vendors, and project teams during development, testing, rollout, and post-launch support.
