Senior Snowflake Developer / Architect

• 6+ years in data engineering or data warehousing, with 3+ years hands-on in Snowflake \n

• Strong production experience with dbt, including project structure, testing, documentation and deployment \n

• Strong production experience with Apache Airflow, including authoring and maintaining DAGs and orchestrating dbt and Snowflake workloads \n

• Expert SQL and strong Python \n

• Deep knowledge of Snowflake features: Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Time Travel, zero-copy cloning and semi-structured data \n

• Experience on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) \n

• Solid data modeling skills (dimensional, Data Vault or similar) \n

• A proven ability to work effectively in a remote or distributed team \n

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and business audiences \n

• Based on the US East Coast and authorized to work in the US [without sponsorship] \n

You can be based anywhere on the US East Coast, working Eastern Time hours, with occasional travel to the New York office and Tampa Florida

You’ll own Snowflake solutions from architecture through to production. You’ll work with Finance, Operations and business leaders to turn data from across the firm into trusted, well-governed insight on client engagements, utilization, billing and firm performance.

This is a hands-on senior role. You’ll set technical direction while staying close enough to the build to make sure it’s done right.

What you’ll do

\n \n

• Lead the architecture of the Snowflake platform, covering account and environment design, warehouses, databases and layered data models (raw, staging, curated, presentation) \n

• Build and maintain transformation pipelines in dbt, including models, tests, snapshots, macros and incremental strategies \n

• Design, schedule and monitor data workflows in Apache Airflow (or Astronomer / MWAA), including DAG design, dependency management, alerting and recovery \n

• Integrate data from core business systems such as ERP, time and billing, CRM, HR and finance platforms into Snowflake using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks and ingestion tools \n

• Implement security and governance: RBAC, masking and row access policies, data classification and secure data sharing for sensitive client and employee data \n

• Optimize performance and cost through warehouse sizing, clustering, query tuning and resource monitors \n

• Set engineering standards for Git-based version control, CI/CD, automated testing and environment promotion \n

• Act as the technical lead with stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable data solutions \n

• Mentor engineers and review code and designs across a distributed team \n

• Experience integrating data from ERP and business platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Workday, Salesforce \n

• dbt Cloud, Astronomer or Cosmos (dbt-in-Airflow) experience
