Senior Test Automation Architect

Senior Test Automation Architect with focus on test automation strategy, framework architecture, quality engineering leadership, CI/CD integration, and enterprise-level test governance., Define and drive the enterprise automation testing strategy aligned with organizational quality objectives. Architect, design, and govern scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks across UI, API, database, and integration layers. Establish automation standards, best practices, coding guidelines, and quality engineering processes across teams. Evaluate and recommend automation tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies to improve quality and delivery efficiency. Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Development Leads, DevOps Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to ensure testability of applications. Lead automation efforts for cloud-native, microservices, and distributed system architectures. Design and implement test automation within CI/CD pipelines to enable Continuous Testing and Shift-Left quality practices. Perform architecture reviews and provide guidance on application quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Mentor and coach QA engineers and automation teams on framework design, coding standards, and automation best practices. Define key quality metrics, automation KPIs, and reporting dashboards to measure testing effectiveness and release readiness. Drive root cause analysis for critical production and non-production issues and implement preventive quality measures. Participate in Agile planning, release management, risk assessment, and quality governance activities. Technical Skills Expert-level proficiency in Python and/or Java for framework development and automation engineering. Extensive experience with Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, and API automation tools. Strong expertise in API technologies including REST, SOAP, GraphQL, OAuth, and service virtualization. Experience designing automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM), BDD, Data-Driven, Hybrid, and Modular approaches. Hands-on experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD platforms including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab. Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications. Experience with Azure Cloud services, Cosmos DB, SQL Server, and database automation strategies. Exposure to containerized environments using Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift. Familiarity with performance engineering, observability tools, log analytics, and monitoring platforms. Experience implementing AI-assisted testing, self-healing automation, and intelligent test optimization solutions.

Test Automation, Test Design, Testing, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, Leadership, Test Strategy, Continuous Integration, Test Design, Continuous Deployment/Delivery, 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation, with 4+ years in a Test Automation Architect or Lead role. Expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale automation frameworks using Robot Framework, Selenium, and API automation tools. Strong programming experience in Python and/or Java for test framework development. Deep expertise in API testing, contract validation, service virtualization, and microservices testing. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem, Azure DevOps, Cosmos DB, and cloud-native architectures. Proven experience in database validation and data quality testing using SQL Server and NoSQL databases. Experience driving automation strategies across Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Testing environments. Expertise in test management, quality metrics, and release governance using Azure DevOps (ADO). Strong understanding of CI/CD implementation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, and related tools. Good to have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, and Red Hat OpenShift platforms. Good to have Retail and Point-of-Sale (POS) domain experience.
