Software Test Engineer

• Author and execute manual and automated test cases to validate product requirements.
• Author and maintain tools, techniques, and practices that support product testing.
• Participate in agile planning, analysis and design events, and reviews.
• Verify quality checks and acceptance criteria before code merges.
• Report bugs and test results completely and on time.
• Identify, analyze, and document functional or content issues.
• Contribute to product design reviews with input on requirements, design, schedules, and risks.
• Write testing documentation and finalize system and software documentation CDRLs.
• Work within Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Experience implementing regression testing for software.
• Experience with performance and other non-functional testing.
• Familiarity or experience with automated test tools.
• Effective communication with Product Owners and software developers.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• DoD 8570 approved security certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP) within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to quickly become proficient in new tools and technologies.
• Ability to identify efficiencies and process improvements between development and testing.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Experience with issue tracking systems such as VersionOne or Jira.
• Experience with continuous integration environments such as Jenkins.
• Proficiency with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Agile certification is desired.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices is desired.
