GIS Data Specialist

Relevant degree in GIS, geography, geospatial science, data management, information systems, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered where appropriate. Strong analytical, data-handling, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to investigate data inconsistencies, apply validation procedures, and explain technical findings to stakeholders. Knowledge of geospatial data formats, coordinate systems, mapping principles, and data-quality practices. Relevant experience Minimum five years of similar professional experience in GIS analysis, spatial data management, geodatabase administration, mapping, or data quality. Demonstrated experience preparing, validating, maintaining, analyzing, or documenting geospatial datasets. Experience with data conversion, migration, attribute validation, metadata, cartography, or geodatabase maintenance. Experience supporting municipal government, Public Works, infrastructure, utilities, or asset-management data is preferred. Technical expertise ArcGIS tools; spatial data preparation; geodatabase management; data conversion and migration; coordinate systems; attribute and geometry validation; metadata; cartography; spatial analysis; asset mapping; data governance; and technical documentation. Experience with enterprise geodatabases or spatial database platforms should be included when supported by the consultant’s actual background.
