Cloud Configuration Manager

The Cloud Configuration Manager at Knight Federal Solutions Inc is responsible for overseeing and managing the configuration management processes within cloud environments, ensuring compliance with government standards and facilitating seamless integration and operation of software and hardware components. This role requires a strategic approach to configuration management, focusing on the documentation and approval of Configuration Items (CIs) and collaborating with technical review boards and change control boards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Define and document all CIs, including software and hardware within the project
• Compile comprehensive data into approval packages and present to the TRB and CCB
• Communicate a clear understanding of functional or cybersecurity changes, assist in risk and impact assessments, interoperability (and redundancy) between licenses and the cloud environment, and options available for execution
• Submit and track resulting change requests through approvals and implementation process
• Recommend process efficiencies and assist in knowledge sharing across all entities
• Provide the Government with monthly configuration lists

Here is what you need:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in configuration management
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with government agencies and adhering to Government configuration plans
• Relevant Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or, supporting certifications and relevant job or military experience of 4 years in lieu of degree

Bonus points if you have:

• Strong understanding of configuration management principles, including CM plans, Cis, and change management
• Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS GovCloud
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+, CISSP, CASP, etc.) or DoD 8140 equivalent

Security Clearance:

• Active Top Secret Clearance, preferred with SCI eligibility. The position may require a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
