GERMANY - PAYROLL IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER DATEV / SAP HCM PAYROLL / P&I LOGA

Olympus Talent is supporting a global payroll transformation programme and is seeking an experienced Payroll Implementation Manager with deep expertise in German payroll and platforms such as DATEV, SAP HCM Payroll or P&I LOGA.

You will be responsible for leading end-to-end payroll implementations, managing payroll migrations, configuring payroll processes, executing testing cycles, and guiding clients through successful payroll go-live activities.

This role requires a payroll implementation specialist who understands both the technical and operational aspects of German payroll and can confidently manage multiple stakeholder groups throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll implementation and migration projects
• Organise and facilitate project kick-off meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
• Create and manage implementation project plans, timelines, risks, actions and dependencies
• Gather payroll requirements and define country-specific payroll processes
• Configure payroll workflows and system requirements
• Manage payroll data migration activities from legacy systems
• Execute payroll parallel runs and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Validate payroll outputs and reconcile payroll results
• Support month one and month two live payroll processing
• Manage payroll project documentation and process maps
• Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll implementation activities
• Ensure compliance with German payroll legislation, tax and social security regulations
• Support client sign-off and transition into payroll operations

Do you have experience in SAP SuccessFactors?, * 5+ years payroll implementation experience

• Extensive German payroll operations experience
• Expertise with DATEV, SAP HCM Payroll or P&I LOGA
• Experience delivering payroll migrations and payroll transformation projects
• Strong understanding of German payroll legislation and statutory compliance
• Experience with payroll testing, parallel payrolls and go-live activities
• Proven client-facing project management experience
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Fluent German and English
• Resident in Germany

Preferred

• Experience implementing payroll for multinational organisations
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification
• Experience working within global payroll environments
