Job description

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK infrastructure group with a clear purpose: helping the country move towards net zero. They’re looking for a Systems Developer to join their in-house development team, building and supporting an established suite of business-critical applications. The role You’ll deliver full-stack software solutions and work closely with users and product owners to make sure what you build is fit for purpose. This is a hands-on engineering role with real customer contact, so strong service skills matter as much as technical ones.

  • Follow release and deployment processes, flagging user impact and risk
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing and continual improvement

Requirements

  • Server-side development experience, ideally Python

  • Client-side experience (React, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS/Bootstrap)
  • Git, including branching and code review in a multi-developer team
  • Experience working in an agile, kanban, scrum or waterfall environment
  • Experience supporting software to SLA, working directly with customers
  • A degree in IT or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent communication, a team-player attitude, and the ability to take ownership of problems through to resolution Desirable

  • RESTful API and systems integration experience
  • Azure DevOps or Jenkins for CI/CD
  • Awareness of secure development (OWASP Top 10)
  • ITIL 4 Foundation or service desk/ITSM experience

Benefits & conditions

  • Annual cost of living pay review
  • Pension contributions of up to 10% when you contribute 5%
  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays, with the option to buy 2 more weeks
  • Enhanced family leave pay
  • Hybrid working for eligible roles
  • Development opportunities to support your career goals To apply: Send your CV to Fintan at TEC Partners for a confidential conversation
