SAP MDG Technical Developer

We are seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Technical Consultant with strong expertise in SAP MDG development, ABAP programming, data modeling, workflow customization, and integration with SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting SAP MDG solutions to ensure effective master data governance across enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and enhance SAP MDG solutions across master data domains, including Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance.
• Develop custom solutions using ABAP, ABAP Objects, Web Dynpro ABAP, and Floorplan Manager (FPM).
• Implement and enhance SAP MDG data models, entity types, attributes, relationships, and staging structures.
• Configure and customize SAP MDG workflows using BRF+ and SAP Business Workflow.
• Develop custom validations, derivations, and business rules using BAdIs, enhancement frameworks, and BRF+.
• Work with SAP MDG Data Replication Framework (DRF) to replicate master data across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Develop and support integration using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, SOAP/OData APIs, and SAP CPI/Integration Suite.
• Customize MDG user interfaces using Web Dynpro ABAP, FPM, and SAP Fiori, as applicable.
• Develop custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
• Support data migration, data quality, duplicate checks, and master data consolidation activities.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and technical issue resolution.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver SAP MDG enhancements.
• Prepare technical specifications, unit testing documentation, and deployment deliverables.
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and MDG transformation initiatives.

SAP MDG Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Master Data Governance.
• SAP MDG data modeling and governance processes.
• MDG change request configuration and workflow enhancements.
• MDG validation and derivation rules.
• Data Replication Framework (DRF).
• MDG Business Partner, Material, Customer, Vendor, or Finance master data.

SAP ABAP Development

• Strong knowledge of Core ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP.
• BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Spots, and Enhancement Framework.
• ABAP Dictionary, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and APIs.
• Debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, and AMDP (preferred).

Workflow and UI Development

• BRF+ rule development.
• SAP Business Workflow.
• Web Dynpro ABAP.
• Floorplan Manager (FPM).
• SAP Fiori/UI5 development or extension experience (preferred).

Integration

• SAP MDG integration with SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Data Replication Framework (DRF).
• IDoc, SOAP, OData, and RFC-based integration.
• SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite (preferred)., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of SAP technical development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP MDG technical development experience.
• Experience working on at least one end-to-end SAP MDG implementation or significant enhancement project.
• Strong understanding of master data governance concepts and SAP MDG architecture.
• Experience with technical design, development, testing, and production support.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing SAP MDG on SAP S/4HANA.
• Exposure to SAP MDG Central Governance and Consolidation.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Partner and Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI).
• Experience with SAP Fiori, CDS Views, and SAP BTP.
• SAP MDG or SAP ABAP certification.
• Experience working in Agile or global delivery environments.
