Data Analyst

Description We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a FinTech organization in New York, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex commercial and sales data into practical recommendations that support pricing, forecasting, and business decisions. In this role, you will work across teams to strengthen reporting accuracy, develop analytical models, and present insights that help guide deal strategy and revenue outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Build and refine analytical models and reusable templates to evaluate new business opportunities as well as converted accounts.

• Perform margin-focused assessments on proposed deals to support pricing decisions and overall commercial strategy.

• Create clear presentation materials that summarize commercial proposals, financial considerations, and key business insights.

• Prepare internal review decks that clearly communicate deal performance, assumptions, risks, and recommendations for stakeholders.

• Audit and validate Salesforce data to improve consistency, completeness, and reporting reliability.

• Maintain accurate weekly tracking reports and ensure leadership has timely visibility into performance metrics and pipeline activity.

• Analyze sales and pricing data to uncover trends, compare scenario outcomes, and support revenue forecasting.

• Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales and Finance to align analysis with business objectives and customer needs. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, pricing analysis, financial analysis, commercial finance, sales operations, or a comparable analytical function.

• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize data and present conclusions effectively.

• Experience using analytical or statistical tools such as R and similar platforms to interpret business data.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain findings to a range of stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across multiple business functions.

• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, particularly in pricing logic, reporting accuracy, and financial analysis.

• Ability to evaluate large datasets, identify meaningful patterns, and translate insights into practical business recommendations.
