Database Developer

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions. The role involves database programming, query optimization, data modeling, performance tuning, and ensuring data integrity, security, and availability across business applications., * Design, develop, and maintain relational database systems and applications.

• Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Design database schemas, tables, indexes, and data models based on application requirements.
• Perform database development, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.
• Analyze and improve database performance through query optimization and indexing.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support to application teams.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and availability.
• Perform database migrations, upgrades, and version management.
• Develop ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and system administrators.
• Create and maintain database documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Monitor database performance and recommend improvements.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in database development and SQL programming.
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with databases such as:
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Oracle Database
• MySQL
• PostgreSQL
• MariaDB
• Strong SQL skills including:
• Complex queries
• Joins
• Stored procedures
• Functions
• Triggers
• Views
• Query optimization
• Knowledge of database indexing, normalization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with database design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of data security, access control, and database best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms.
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
• Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
