UX Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff User Experience (UX) Designer to lead high-profile projects within the BeyondTrust security software platforms. This role involves creating exceptional user experiences, developing comprehensive design strategies, and mentoring the UX team to execute design projects effectively. The Staff UX Designer will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, domain specialists, and content writers to shape the user experience vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will play a critical role in driving UX design strategy, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and advancing the adoption of innovative design practices, including AI-enhanced methodologies. This position offers the opportunity to influence the design language and standards across our product portfolio while supporting continuous professional growth and development., * Develop and drive the UX design strategy and roadmap in alignment with user needs and business goals.

• Collaborate with UX researchers to identify usability testing initiatives and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership to UX designers, enhancing design quality and professional development.
• Lead the design process including ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing to create intuitive user interfaces.
• Illustrate design concepts using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Utilize the Shield BeyondTrust Design System to design visually compelling and consistent user interfaces.
• Evolve company design language and standards to maintain a cohesive user experience.
• Conduct and synthesize research activities, collaborating with UX research specialists to inform design decisions and reduce product risk.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to define project strategies, success metrics, and foster team alignment.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet business requirements and technical constraints.
• Drive standardization of UX practices to reduce design debt and improve consistency across products.
• Communicate and collaborate with marketing, sales, support, and executive management to maintain trusted relationships and encourage feedback.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and promote a culture of user empathy throughout the organization.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in UX and cybersecurity.
• Lead the adoption of AI-enhanced design practices to accelerate discovery, prototyping, and delivery.
• Produce developer-ready outputs, interactive prototypes, and AI-generated assets to improve handoff quality and reduce development effort.

• Minimum 6-8 years of user experience design experience for enterprise/desktop software, web applications, mobile platforms, and related technologies.
• Exceptional knowledge of user research methodologies, usability testing, and design thinking processes.
• Proven ability to mentor and coach UX designers, fostering professional growth and high-quality design output.
• Experience working with remote and distributed teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent conceptualization, visual communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to balance immediate project needs with long-term UX vision and strategy.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and common development practices.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and accessibility standards.
• Self-starter with eagerness to learn new technologies and approaches quickly.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with developers, managers, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.

Nice To Have

• Experience with Windows and Mac OS platforms.
• Experience designing for Android, iOS, Windows Mobile, and other mobile platforms.
• UX design experience in enterprise cybersecurity software.
• Familiarity with design and collaboration tools such as Claude Code, Claude Design, Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, and Jira.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.
