Systems Integration & Test Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer in Orlando, Florida for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support the integration, development, testing, and maintenance of complex automated test systems used with electro-optical sensor hardware for military applications., * Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain system integration and test solutions.

• Translate customer and contractual requirements into practical system-test solutions.
• Establish functional and technical specifications, standards, and interface requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software interface issues.
• Develop and execute comprehensive system and subsystem test plans and procedures.
• Coordinate integration and testing activities across engineering and program teams.
• Analyze test results and prepare verification and validation reports.
• Write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing.
• Support development and maintenance of automated production test equipment.

System Integration (SI), Integration Testing, Test Automation, Integration Testing, Military, Aerospace and Defense, Consulting, System Integration (SI), Test Plan/Schedule, Software Development, * 4+ years of software development experience using C, C++, and/or LabVIEW.

• 4+ years of experience supporting production environments.
• 6+ years of test equipment design experience.
• 6+ years of electronic testing experience.
• 6+ years of mechanical testing experience.
• Experience integrating and testing hardware and software components, subsystems, and complete systems.
• Experience developing and executing comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces.
• Ability to analyze test results and prepare detailed system or subsystem evaluation reports.
• Experience performing regression testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and National Instruments (NI) systems.
• Strong C or C++ software-development skills.
• Experience integrating Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware.
• Experience with VXI/PXI chassis, switching hardware, EO testing, and automation.
• Automated test-equipment development or maintenance experience in a high-volume production environment.
• Experience supporting electro-optical sensor systems or military hardware.
