Senior BI Data Engineer - Brussels

Build and optimize Data Lakes and Data Lakehouse solutions in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data integration tools.

Design scalable data models (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) to support analytics and reporting.

Implement data quality, governance, security, and lineage frameworks.

Create dashboards, KPIs, and self-service BI solutions for business stakeholders.

Optimize SQL queries, database performance, and data platform costs.

Define and maintain CI/CD processes and Infrastructure as Code practices for BI environments.

Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in English (C1).

Mandatory Experience

Strong experience with ETL/ELT tools (Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica, Talend, SAP Data Services, etc.)

Advanced SQL expertise

Data Warehousing and Data Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)

Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar platforms

Knowledge of Data Lakes, Data Lakehouses, and Business Intelligence solutions

Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Security best practices

Experience working in Agile environments and modern DevOps practices
