Senior Data Engineer - Brussels

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to help build and scale a modern data ecosystem for one of Belgium’s leading healthcare organizations. What you’ll be doing

• Designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and integrations
• Developing scalable Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions
• Implementing data quality, monitoring and observability practices
• Supporting BI, Analytics and Data Science teams with trusted datasets
• Driving data engineering standards, best practices and architecture decisions
• Coaching and mentoring teams while contributing to the long-term data roadmap

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong SQL and Python expertise
• Experience with Spark, Hive or similar Big Data technologies
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services and/or AWS
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory or equivalent platforms
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud-based data architectures
• Understanding of Data Quality, CI/CD and DevOps principles for data platforms
• English proficiency (mandatory)
• Dutch and/or French is considered a strong asset
