Job description
As an IT & Network Specialist at VBH, youâll configure, implement and troubleshoot the network infrastructure that keeps superyachts connected. From routers, switches and firewalls to wireless networks and secure connectivity, youâll make sure systems work reliably and securely, from initial setup through to commissioning.
Working closely with our System Engineers and installation teams, youâll put your networking expertise into practice on complex IT projects where reliability is essential.
The Reality Working in the superyacht industry comes with high expectations. Details matter. Security matters. Reliability matters.
Our clients expect the same reliable digital experience at sea as they do on land. That means networks must perform reliably, systems must be secure and technical issues need to be identified and resolved quickly.
Every project brings different technical challenges. You might be configuring network equipment, implementing security measures or testing a new infrastructure. On another day, youâll be on board during commissioning, investigating a network issue or working with colleagues to get a complex system running as it should.
Itâs a role for someone who enjoys understanding how systems work, solving technical challenges and taking ownership of the result.
Your role As an IT & Network Specialist, youâll be responsible for configuring, implementing and optimising the network infrastructure behind advanced IT environments on board some of the worldâs most extraordinary superyachts.
Youâll work with enterprise networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless systems. Together with System Engineers, Project Managers and installation specialists, youâll help translate technical requirements into reliable, secure and practical network solutions.
From the initial configuration through installation, testing and commissioning, youâll play an important role in ensuring the infrastructure performs as expected.

Installation, testing and commissioning
- Support the implementation and integration of network infrastructures on board.
- Test configurations and verify that systems perform as expected.
- Support commissioning activities and resolve technical issues during installation and delivery.
- Work closely with System Engineers, Project Managers and installation specialists to coordinate technical activities and resolve challenges.
- Contribute to technical documentation and share knowledge with colleagues to improve the quality and consistency of our work.
