Job description

Our client, located in the Green Hills area of Nashville, TN is seeking a direct hire Senior Benefits Specialist to join their team. This role will be the SME responsible for the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of their benefits processes.

Duties: Benefits Administration

  • Administer day-to-day benefits operations, including enrollments, life events, terminations, vendor file feeds, invoicing, and reconciliations
  • Serve as primary contact for benefit vendors, resolving issues, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with plan provisions and contracts
  • Support annual enrollment, audits, dependent verification, and benefits communications, including employee education and wellness initiatives

Time, Attendance & Payroll Support

  • Support administration and compliance of time & attendance processes, including audits, issue resolution, and leader/employee guidance
  • Partner with Payroll to resolve complex timekeeping, pay, and benefits-related deduction issues, including leave-related premium administration

Reporting, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Prepare standard and ad hoc reporting related to benefits, HRIS, and timekeeping; analyze trends and discrepancies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-5 years of experience in HRIS, benefits administration, payroll support, or HR operations
  • Experience working with HRIS and time & attendance systems (ADP preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities, * Experience supporting payroll and timekeeping compliance
  • Benefits or HRIS certifications (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR)
  • Experience working with vendor file feeds and benefits invoicing
  • Intermediate Excel and reporting skills
