ADA Software Engineer

World Class Defence Organisation based in Bristol is currently looking to recruit an ADA Software Engineer subcontractor on an initial 6 month contract, with very likely extension. The role will be onsite 4 days per week. A 4 day working week is OK (Monday to Thursday)., Join our growing Software team in Bristol, working as part of a dynamic team to develop and deliver innovative solutions by exploiting a wide portfolio of software technologies. You will work as part of a small team and be empowered to work individually with little supervision. Responsibilities: To undertake a full range of engineering activities in line with relevant processes, quality and other requirements. The role will involve Ada code development and verification. The role will involve software V&V, primarily using target-based equipment containing the software under test and complex simulations of other Missile subsystems.

Experience of both UML (Rhapsody) and Ada (AdaCore). Knowledge of DOORs and IBM Config Management tooling (EWM) would be useful. Suitable skills and experience in Integration testing and debugging. Experience of working in High Dependability systems would be beneficial.
