Senior React & Node Developer (AI & Full Stack)

• Design and build full-stack applications from concept through to production
• Develop proof of concepts, prototypes and MVPs for AI-driven products
• Architect scalable, maintainable software solutions
• Build modern user interfaces using React and collaborate with UX/UI designers on user experiences

• Fullstack, Were recruiting for an innovative technology company building next-generation AI products from the ground up. Youll join a small, highly experienced engineering team and work closely with Product, Design, AI and Engineering colleagues to turn ideas into prototypes, MVPs and scalable products. This hands-on Senior Product Engineer role offers the opportunity to shape new products, take ownership and work autonomously in a collaborative engineering culture, with experienced leaders and career progression. The permanent position is based in London, with hybrid working requiring three days per week in the office. Salary is £65,000-£75,000.

• 7+ years of commercial software engineering experience
• Strong commercial experience with React
• Backend development experience with Node.js, Express.js and Python
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to build intuitive digital products
• Strong understanding of software architecture and modern engineering practices
• Experience reviewing code and mentoring developers across frontend and backend technologies
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or Cursor
• Commercial experience building proof of concepts, MVPs and greenfield applications
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Docker/containerised applications
• Strong understanding of OAuth, authentication and secure API design
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, product-focused mindset and passion for solving complex problems
• Desirable: experience with AI-powered applications, LLMs, generative AI, microservices, GraphQL, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, event-driven architecture, Agile product development or WCAG accessibility
