ICT Support Technician

• Troubleshooting to detect and solve technical problems.
• Installing or updating required hardware and software.
• Help implement the ongoing IT strategy to ensure systems are fit for purpose.
• Maintain the key ‘day-to-day’ systems, which include: Windows 11 Administration, Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, SQL - database understanding and programming, Basic Visual Studio understanding and programming, IT Security, including Gateway/Firewall/Firebox, Microsoft Office 365, Networking, Landline Telecoms.

You’ll use your proven previous experience as an ICT Support Technician to provide approachable and effective technical computer support to company employees.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of being responsible for maintaining a company’s computer services and equipment., * Knowledge and understanding of IT systems and computer networks (ideally Microsoft operating systems and software, networking, LANs and WANs).

• An understanding of information security, confidentiality and data protection.
• Awareness of cybersecurity initiatives.
• A strong customer service ethos and interpersonal skills.
• An IT qualification or be able to demonstrate suitable experience.
• Knowledge of ERP software or Pegasus Opera 3 will be a distinct advantage.

Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of bespoke heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, so experience working in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial, but not essential.
