Artificial Intelligence Python (Programming Language) Node.Js Performance Tuning TypeScript Pytorch Large Language Models Prompt Engineering Backend Scikit Learn HuggingFace

Requirements

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, * You have 5+ years of experience working on applied ML/AI problems in production environments

  • You have strong experience with LLMs and NLP, including prompt engineering and/or fine-tuning
  • You’re proficient in Python or Node.js and familiar with ML libraries (Hugging Face, LangChain, PyTorch)
  • You have a deep sense of ownership and can move from prototype to product quickly
  • Familiarity with backend services (Node.js/TypeScript) is a strong plus
  • Experience working with sensitive or regulated data (healthcare, finance) is a bonus
  • You’re autonomous, curious, and excited about real-world AI deployment

Benefits & conditions

  • A hard, meaningful problem. Medical coding is one of the most complex NLP challenges in healthcare - solving it has direct impact on hospital revenue and staff workload.
  • Founding role. You’ll build the AI strategy from scratch, not execute a roadmap someone else defined.
  • Real traction. $20M Series A with Index Ventures, 40+ hospital clients, less than a year after seed.
  • Competitive salary and equity package, premium health insurance (Alan), Swile meal vouchers, latest Apple equipment, Paris office (Strasbourg Saint-Denis).

About the company

At Parallel, we build AI agents to help healthcare facilities automate their administrative processes and unlock additional revenue, starting with medical coding.

Today, up to 25% of healthcare spending is lost in manual, repetitive administrative work. Legacy software hasn’t helped, it’s made things slower, more complex, and more frustrating for care teams.

We believe AI agents can change that. Our technology combines Large Language Models with system-level automation to handle real work inside existing hospital tools. No integrations, no disruption.

Our first agent automates coding workflows and frees up time for medical staff to focus on patients.

We launched in 2024, are backed by top investors (Index, Frst, Y Combinator, Hexa, Kima Ventures, Better Angle), and we’re just getting started.

The future of healthcare isn’t just digital - it’s automated. Come help us build it !

Context

We’ve closed a $20M Series A with Index Ventures and we’re deployed in 40+ hospitals. Our AI agents automate medical coding end-to-end - but the AI layer is still being built. This is a founding role: you’ll own our core AI architecture and be the person who makes our agents reliable enough to run in production clinical environments.

Your mission

Design and deploy production-ready AI systems in real-world hospital environments.

Concretely, you will:

  • Design and implement LLM-powered systems for automating medical coding
  • Build and iterate on agent-based workflows tailored to complex clinical operations
  • Collaborate on integrating AI outputs with user-facing apps used by doctors and hospital staff
  • Work with hospital IT to build secure and scalable data ingestion pipelines (HDS-compliant)
  • Partner with the CTO to define the AI roadmap and integrate state-of-the-art tools with robust backend infrastructure
  • Own the full lifecycle of AI features: research, prototyping, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
