Job description

We’re a national apprenticeship and training provider, accredited as Outstanding to Work For 2026 by Best Companies. Working directly with our Commercial Director, you’ll turn operational, market and financial data into clear, actionable intelligence. You’ll help us engage more employers, maximize Apprenticeship Levy capture, and prove the value our training delivers.

About the role

You’ll be the Commercial Director’s go-to data partner. You’ll lead trend analysis, pipeline forecasting, ROI evaluation and impact reporting, and turn complex findings into simple recommendations colleagues and clients can act on.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering daily and weekly pipeline updates, revenue forecasts, and data packs for board-level decisions
  • Building predictive models to forecast enrolment volumes, commercial revenue, and Apprenticeship Levy utilisation
  • Analysing regional and sector labour market data to spot skills gaps and untapped, high-demand apprenticeship sectors
  • Tracking client acquisition, conversion rates, and pipeline velocity, and giving Business Development sector-specific lead insights
  • Monitoring competitor offers, funding band changes and government policy to inform our market positioning
  • Running ROI analysis on marketing campaigns, lead generation and business development activity
  • Evaluating the profitability of our apprenticeship programmes and bespoke corporate delivery models
  • Identifying upsell, cross-sell and renewal opportunities across employer accounts
  • Producing Commercial Value Reports and polished presentations that show key employer clients the impact of their apprentices
  • Designing and maintaining interactive Power BI or Tableau dashboards, and keeping our CRM data accurate
  • Reporting monthly to senior leadership on coach caseload capacity and regional performance
  • Analysing learner and employer feedback to drive quality improvement

Requirements

Essential skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling, nested formulas, macros, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualisation tools
  • Experience extracting and blending data from CRMs and learner management systems using SQL or data connectors
  • A practical understanding of statistical forecasting, time-series analysis, or predictive modelling
  • A strong grasp of B2B commercial metrics, such as client lifetime value, acquisition cost, and profitability
  • A sharp eye for trends, outliers, and patterns in large, disparate datasets

You’ll also be

  • Commercially minded, looking beyond the numbers to the business drivers behind them
  • A confident communicator who can turn analysis into a compelling story for leaders and clients
  • A self-starter who brings revenue-generating ideas to the table without being asked
  • Meticulous with accuracy, and resourceful when chasing down data gaps or tracking issues

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the UK apprenticeship system, including standards, funding bands, and Levy rules
  • Level 2 English and maths
