  4. Performance & FinOps: Monitor and optimize query performance, warehouse sizing and scaling, resource utilization, clustering where appropriate, credit consumption, and storage costs.
  5. Reliability & Operations: Implement monitoring, alerting, operational runbooks, incident management, capacity management, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery practices for production Snowflake environments.
  6. Platform Standards & Enablement: Develop reusable Terraform modules, automation, security guardrails, deployment standards, documentation, and self-service capabilities for data engineering and analytics teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, or software engineering, including 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake administration, architecture, security, workload management, performance optimization, and cost management.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP and/or AWS, including IAM, networking, private connectivity, security, and cloud storage.
  • Advanced proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD and Git-based deployment workflows.
  • Strong SQL skills for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting experience with Python and/or Bash.
  • Experience supporting production platforms, including monitoring, incident response, reliability, and operational automation. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating Snowflake environments across both GCP and AWS.
  • Experience with enterprise security, governance, compliance, and FinOps practices.
  • Experience building reusable platform automation and self-service capabilities.
  • Experience in a regulated enterprise environment such as healthcare or financial services.
