SAP S/4HANA CO Technical Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA CO Technical Consultant to support the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of SAP Controlling (CO) functionality within an S/4HANA environment. The consultant will partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across core SAP CO processes, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), along with a solid understanding of the integration between CO and other SAP modules., * Lead the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Controlling (CO) solutions.

• Configure and support Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, Product Costing, and CO-PA.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand controlling, costing, profitability, and management reporting requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP configuration.
• Support S/4HANA implementations, migrations, enhancements, and optimization initiatives.
• Partner with SAP FI resources to support integration between Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).
• Support integration between CO and relevant areas such as Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), and Asset Accounting (AA).
• Configure and troubleshoot cost allocations, assessments, distributions, settlement processes, planning, and period-end activities.
• Support product costing, including cost estimates, costing variants, overhead calculations, variance analysis, and settlement.
• Configure and support profitability analysis, including CO-PA reporting requirements and integration with financial processes.
• Participate in workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and process improvement discussions.
• Develop functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP and technical teams on reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
• Create and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing scenarios.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend sustainable solutions.
• Develop process documentation, configuration documentation, training materials, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Provide functional support during cutover, go-live, stabilization, and post-production support activities.

• Strong hands-on experience as an SAP CO Technical Consultant, SAP FI/CO Consultant, or SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant with significant CO responsibility.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience within the Controlling area.

• Strong configuration experience with several of the following:

• Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
• Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
• Internal Orders
• Product Costing / Product Cost Controlling
• Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
• Cost Element Accounting
• Allocations, assessments, and distributions
• Settlement processes
• Period-end closing
• Strong understanding of FI/CO integration and the relationship between financial accounting and management accounting processes.
• Experience gathering requirements, performing fit-gap analysis, configuring solutions, and supporting testing and deployment.
• Experience working with cross-functional SAP teams and business stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
• Experience moving from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of the Universal Journal and S/4HANA Finance architecture.
• Experience with Material Ledger and Actual Costing.
• Experience with manufacturing environments and product costing processes.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications related to Finance and Controlling.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale or global SAP environments.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance or related SAP certification is a plus.
