Desktop Support IV

We are seeking a Desktop Support IV professional to provide hardware, software, and network support for the Wisconsin Court System. The role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT equipment across courthouses and offices throughout Wisconsin., * Install, configure, repair, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, and peripherals.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and audio/visual equipment.
• Provide technical support and resolve IT issues for court employees.
• Perform onsite equipment upgrades, installations, and field service.
• Support Windows systems, Active Directory, and network infrastructure.
• Respond to technical emergencies and follow cybersecurity policies.

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop support and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and computer operating systems.
• Excellent technical troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.

Preferred Skills: Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, Remote Desktop Services, video conferencing, and digital audio/visual equipment.

Important Requirements

• Must be a current Wisconsin resident. No relocation permitted.
• Minimum 50% statewide travel, including overnight stays.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and ability to meet state vehicle driving requirements.
• Must be onsite in Madison when not traveling.
• Mileage reimbursement of $0.51/mile may apply when using a personal vehicle for approved travel.
