Application Developer

AppIt Ventures is seeking a motivated Application Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain custom software applications that address business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming, application architecture, and software development practices, along with the ability to turn technical requirements into reliable, user-friendly solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate with developers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to build new application features, improve existing systems, integrate external services, and resolve technical issues. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle while helping maintain application quality, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web, mobile, and business applications.
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and application features.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Build and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to improve application usability.
• Troubleshoot software defects and resolve performance or compatibility issues.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
• Maintain existing applications and implement enhancements as requirements evolve.
• Follow secure coding practices and established software development standards.
• Document technical decisions, application functionality, and development processes.
• Participate in project planning and communicate progress, challenges, and delivery timelines.

• Experience in application development, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, or Java.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and database systems.
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
• Experience with software testing, debugging, and application maintenance.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage assigned development tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, or another modern front-end framework.
• Familiarity with back-end frameworks such as Node.js, .NET, Django, or Spring.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, cloud platforms, and API integrations.
• Experience developing responsive web or cross-platform mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Understanding of application security, performance optimization, and accessibility.
