AI Engineer / Software Systems Engineer

We are seeking an AI Engineer to help modernize and accelerate systems engineering activities through the application of AI and automation. This individual will work closely with Systems Engineers to improve the way requirements are generated, allocated, verified, and traced throughout the system lifecycle., * Develop AI-enabled solutions to support requirements management, decomposition, allocation, and verification activities.

• Build and maintain a centralized repository of system requirements, specifications, and verification evidence.

• Integrate requirements management tools (e.g., Jama) with AI applications and databases to improve traceability and workflow efficiency.

• Create methods to connect verification artifacts, test reports, and objective evidence directly back to requirements.

• Develop AI workflows capable of analyzing verification data and identifying evidence that supports requirement validation.

• Support the flow-down of customer and system-level requirements to subsystem and component-level specifications.

• Assist System Engineers with:

o Requirements derivation

o Requirements allocation

o Requirements decomposition

o Traceability management

o Verification planning

• Leverage AI tools to draft proposed requirements and specifications while maintaining Systems Engineer review and approval authority.

• Help engineering teams adopt AI-enabled systems engineering practices through demonstrations, training, and process improvement initiatives. xrbllit

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual systems engineering effort through automation and AI-assisted workflows.

Bachelor’s degree

Active Secret clearance

Systems Engineering processes and requirements management

Experience developing AI-enabled workflows, automation tools

Understanding of requirements decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation processes., Experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows and training end users on adoption., The ideal candidate will have experience with systems engineering processes, requirements management tools (such as Jama), and AI-enabled workflow automation. This role will focus on creating scalable solutions that connect requirements, verification evidence, and engineering artifacts while helping engineering teams adopt AI-driven tools and best practices.
