Job description

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Solutions Architect to lead enterprise data platform modernization, architecture, and governance for an established organization. This highly visible role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise across Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, enterprise data engineering, modern data lakehouse architectures, and AI-ready infrastructure.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the organization’s enterprise data strategy, guiding the transition to a modern Snowflake-based ecosystem while establishing scalable, governed data foundations that support business intelligence, advanced analytics, and AI initiatives. This is a hands-on technical leadership position, not a purely advisory role., * Lead enterprise architecture and modernization initiatives across Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric, with attention to scalability, performance, reliability, and continuity.

  • Design enterprise-scale data lakehouse architectures, reusable data products, and effective data modeling standards.
  • Evaluate integration and interoperability between Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake; troubleshoot complex data movement and platform reliability issues.
  • Lead technical evaluations of semantic layers, master data management (MDM), and data governance technologies; recommend cohesive, practical solutions.
  • Establish consistent business definitions, data quality standards, lineage, and governance practices across BI and AI consumers.
  • Design governed data foundations for AI/ML, natural-language analytics, and emerging AI applications.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, leadership, engineering teams, vendors, and implementation partners; challenge assumptions and validate technical deliverables.
  • Translate complex architectural choices into clear recommendations and actionable plans., Partner closely with technology leadership and help establish trusted, governed foundations for the next generation of enterprise data products.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of in-depth, hands-on Snowflake experience, including architecture and production implementation.
  • Experience architecting and delivering production-grade data platforms using Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data lakehouse architectures and data products.
  • Experience architecting data infrastructure supporting AI/ML applications.
  • Hands-on knowledge of dbt, enterprise data modeling, ETL/ELT, integration, and data warehouse architecture.
  • Strong understanding of semantic modeling, data governance, data quality, and MDM principles.
  • Ability to independently assess implementations, solve complex technical problems, and communicate effectively with technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric interoperability, Apache Iceberg, or catalog integrations.
  • Snowflake Semantic Views, Snowflake Cortex, or AI-powered analytics.
  • Power BI, Direct Lake, and enterprise reporting architectures.
  • Ontology-based semantic technologies and enterprise semantic layers.
  • MDM tools such as Profisee; Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Dataverse.
  • Experience with third-party implementation partners and complex multi-entity data models.
