Network & Voice Support Technician

• Provide comprehensive support for network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and RAID controllers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), and IPsec connections to maintain secure and efficient connectivity across multiple sites.
• Implement and manage network security protocols using tools such as Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), SSO (Single Sign-On), and vulnerability assessments to safeguard organizational data.
• Support voice communication systems including VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) solutions, ensuring high-quality call services and system integration with existing IT infrastructure.
• Assist with the deployment and management of network protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), and SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).
• Conduct system troubleshooting for network issues related to routing protocols, network switching, load balancing, high availability configurations, and network security measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network installation projects, system hardening initiatives, automation using scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell, and implementing DevOps practices for continuous improvement.

• Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; VLANs; Ethernet; TCP/IP; DNS; DHCP; VPN configuration; and network security measures.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers/switches implementation, Cisco ASA firewalls, Meraki devices, Juniper equipment, openSUSE/Linux distributions like Debian or Ubuntu for server management.
• Proficiency in managing network hardware support including SAN/NAS storage solutions with RAID controllers; implementing load balancer solutions; configuring QoS policies; and ensuring high availability setups.
• Strong understanding of network security tools such as Cisco ISE, PKI systems, LDAP/Active Directory integration, SSL/TLS encryption standards, vulnerability assessments with Splunk or SolarWinds.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere/ESXi or Citrix; cloud services such as AWS or Azure; automation tools like Ansible; scripting skills in Python or Shell Scripting for system administration tasks.
• Knowledge of system troubleshooting across operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux distributions like Fedora or CentOS; experience with system hardening practices and remote access software.
• Ability to perform network monitoring using PRTG or SolarWinds; implement SDLC processes; manage network architecture projects; support ITIL best practices for service management.
