- Support the deployment and management of VPN solutions for secure remote access across diverse platforms such as Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), macOS, and openSUSE.
- Monitor network infrastructure using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, and SolarWinds to identify issues proactively and perform troubleshooting across LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol), OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), and other routing protocols.
- Assist with implementing high availability solutions for MS/SQL2026 databases and VMware vSphere environments to ensure system resilience.
- Support network security measures including Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), SSO (Single Sign-On), SSL/TLS encryption, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), Cisco ASA firewalls, and vulnerability assessments.
- Contribute to the configuration of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), DNS (Domain Name System), IPsec VPNs, OpenVPN, SSH (Secure Shell), SFTP, FTP, and HTTPS for secure data transmission.
- Participate in network installation projects involving Cisco routers/switches implementation, Cisco Meraki devices, Juniper equipment, and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) practices for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with IT support teams on system hardening efforts using GPOs (Group Policy Objects), PowerShell scripting, Bash shell scripting, Ansible automation tools, and system monitoring tools like Nagios or PRTG.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting computer networking environments with knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture and network hardware such as Cisco routers/switches and Juniper devices.
- Strong understanding of network security principles including firewall management with Cisco ASA devices, VPN configuration for remote access solutions, VLANs, QoS policies for traffic prioritization, and open-source operating systems like Linux distributions including Debian and CentOS.
- Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions such as SANs with RAID controllers for data redundancy and high availability configurations.
- Experience with database systems like MS/SQL2026 or similar database management systems focusing on disaster recovery strategies and HA configurations.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting to automate routine tasks; experience with DevOps practices is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently using diagnostic tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor.
- Strong grasp of ITIL best practices for service management along with experience supporting IT infrastructure components including Active Directory integration and LDAP authentication methods.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document procedures clearly while working collaboratively within an Agile environment.
This role is perfect for motivated professionals eager to deepen their expertise in computer networking while supporting enterprise-grade infrastructure-helping us maintain a secure, reliable digital environment that empowers our organization’s success!
