Network and Telecom Engineer II

• Handles the procurement, acquisition, inventory, and disposition of network and telecommunications hardware and software.
• Administers and manages information systems.
• Collaborates with the Network Engineer III in execution of strategic plans.
• Installs and supports local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, Internet, Intranet, and telecommunication systems hardware and software.
• Analyzes and isolates network, firewall, and telecommunication issues.
• Assists in the evaluation and modification of system performance and performs system and architectural improvements.
• Maintains integrity of the network, telecommunications, and security of those systems.
• Architects, engineers, installs, and deploys networks and various networking components.
• Performs network email address assignment, assigns routing protocols, and routing table configuration.
• Acts as mid-tier escalation point for networking and telecommunication support.
• Travels to multiple locations during shift.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; and
• Four (4) years of IT experience; or
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
• Seven (7) years of IT experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of telecommunications engineering experience.
• Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or equivalent experience.
• Cisco, Firewall, Telecommunications, network monitoring systems, and Aruba experience.
• SDWAN, SaaS, Datacenter, and enterprise networking level experience.
