Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Software Requirements Analysis HR Software Build Process Workday

Job description

a top-ranked law firm is seeking a Human Resources Systems Business Analyst for its HR Systems team.

You’ll connect HR stakeholders with technical teams-gathering requirements, documenting business needs, coordinating initiatives, and helping create consistent processes for testing and system changes.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with HRIS and business analysis experience who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and collaborating across multiple HR functions.

Why This Opportunity?

Help shape a newly created role. Bring your ideas and help establish how requirements, project coordination, and testing are managed across the HR Systems team.

Broaden your experience. Work across Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Optimization instead of supporting just one HR function.

Make a visible impact. Build processes that turn business needs into clear, actionable system improvements.

Gain exposure to Workday. Support projects within an established Workday environment. Prior Workday experience is a plus, but is not required.

Grow your career. Join a top-ranked law firm that supports internal advancement and opportunities across teams.

What You’ll Do

Gather and document business requirements from HR stakeholders.

Translate business needs into clear, actionable system requirements.

Coordinate with HR and technical teams to move requests toward implementation.

Track requirements, status, and dependencies across multiple initiatives.

Identify connections and overlap between projects across HR functions.

Develop repeatable processes for requirements gathering, documentation, and testing.

Help establish and coordinate structured test scenarios and user acceptance testing before system changes go live.

Help stakeholders adopt new processes.

Requirements

4+ years of relevant experience in HR systems and business analysis.

Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) experience and an understanding of broader HR functions.

Experience gathering and documenting requirements and translating business needs into system requirements.

Experience coordinating stakeholders and tracking multiple initiatives.

Ability to develop and implement repeatable processes.

Understanding of user acceptance testing (UAT) and structured scenario testing.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Bachelor’s degree.

Workday experience, deeper UAT/testing experience, and a project management background are pluses. Law firm experience is not required.
