Job description

We are hiring a Senior Power Platform Developer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 solutions for DoD and federal programs. You will own the technical side of delivery: turning requirements into solution designs, estimating and planning the work with project managers, and integrating with GOTS systems. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. The work is high visibility, mission-focused, and built to DoD security and records management standards.

What You Will Do

Solution design and development

  • Analyze functional and technical requirements and turn them into detailed solution designs
  • Build and deploy enterprise Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) using Power Fx
  • Automate mission processes with Power Automate cloud flows
  • Write production code to extend the platform past low-code limits: Dataverse plug-ins and custom APIs in C#/.NET, PCF components in TypeScript, Azure Functions, and custom connectors to REST APIs
  • Design Dataverse tables, relationships, and scalable data models for apps, automation, and analytics
  • Build Power BI data models, DAX measures, dashboards, and reports for leadership decisions

Integration and compliance

  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with GOTS systems, SQL Server, SharePoint, and other enterprise data sources
  • Modify and extend GOTS applications as government requirements change
  • Ensure every solution meets DoD security, accessibility, and records management requirements
  • Follow configuration management and Change Control Board (CCB) processes for all releases

SharePoint and Microsoft 365

  • Design and build modern SharePoint Online intranets, hub sites, and communication and team sites with clear navigation, branding, and responsive page layouts
  • Develop SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts and extensions using React and TypeScript
  • Plan information architecture: site hierarchy, content types, site columns, metadata, libraries, and search
  • Configure permissions, sharing, retention labels, and sensitivity labels in line with records and security policy
  • Integrate solutions across Microsoft 365, including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Forms, Planner, and Microsoft Graph
  • Support migrations from SharePoint on-premises or other platforms to SharePoint Online

Delivery and quality

  • Own technical delivery of your work across multiple DoD and federal projects at once
  • Give project managers development estimates, schedules, and progress reporting across the SDLC
  • Run technical studies and evaluations, and recommend solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and connected systems
  • Write clean, reusable, well-tested code and components that follow team standards
  • Maintain complete technical documentation from design through deployment

Requirements

  • Active Public Trust or Secret clearance
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, a technical field, or business management
  • 8 to 10 years of hands-on development and implementation experience
  • Expert-level skill in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, including Dataverse, Power Fx, and DAX
  • Strong SharePoint Online experience: site design and branding, information architecture, SPFx development, and permissions
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Graph, and Microsoft Purview
  • Professional software development experience in C#/.NET and JavaScript/TypeScript, including REST API integration, SQL (T-SQL), and source control with Git and code reviews
  • Web development skills in HTML, CSS, React, and responsive, accessible (Section 508) design
  • Experience building on SQL Server and SharePoint as enterprise data sources
  • Experience integrating or modifying GOTS applications in DoD or federal environments
  • Working knowledge of configuration management and CCB processes
  • Proven record of independently delivering work across multiple projects and producing reliable effort estimates
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with government stakeholders and project managers, * Microsoft certifications such as PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), PL-600 (Solution Architect), PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), or MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator)
  • Experience in GCC High or DoD (IL5) Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tenants
  • Familiarity with federal records management requirements, such as DoD 5015.2 and NARA guidance
  • Power Platform ALM experience: managed solutions, environment strategy, pipelines, and DLP policies
  • Experience with Azure services, custom connectors, PnP PowerShell, or the Power Platform CLI; UI/UX design skills for intranet and portal experiences
  • Top Secret clearance or eligibility
