Job description

  • Design and develop secure, scalable, accessible, and high-performing native Android applications using Kotlin and Android development frameworks.

  • Build reusable user interfaces and navigation flows using Jetpack Compose and Android Views, aligned with Material Design and product design systems.

  • Apply appropriate architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, repository pattern, and unidirectional data flow.

  • Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services; manage authentication, authorization, caching, retries, timeouts, pagination, and error states.

  • Implement asynchronous processing and reactive state using Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, StateFlow, and lifecycle-aware components.

  • Use secure storage and Android security capabilities to protect credentials, tokens, customer data, and sensitive application state.

  • Develop unit, integration, and UI tests using JUnit, MockK/Mockito, Espresso, Compose testing, or equivalent tools.

  • Profile and optimize application startup, responsiveness, battery use, networking, memory, rendering, and application size.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to convert Figma designs, prototypes, adaptive-layout requirements, and accessibility expectations into mobile experiences.

  • Participate in solution design, estimation, sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

  • Support Gradle builds, build var iants, signing, CI/CD, internal testing, Google Play release readiness, and production monitoring.

  • Troubleshoot production issues, remediate defects, reduce technical debt, and improve mobile engineering standards.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years overall; 4+ years of recent mobile application development.

  • Strong hands-on Kotlin with knowledge of null safety, collections, lambdas, extension functions, generics, sealed classes, delegation, and Android platform APIs.

  • Ability to build adaptive interfaces, navigation, reusable composables/views, lists, forms, themes, animations, and accessibility support.

  • Experience with MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture, repository pattern, dependency injection, modularization, and separation of concerns.

  • Practical experience with coroutines, suspend functions, Flow/StateFlow, structured concurrency, lifecycle awareness, and thread management.

  • Retrofit/OkHttp or equivalent, REST/JSON, serialization, API error handling, Room, DataStore, caching, pagination, and offline considerations.

  • Android Keystore, encrypted storage, secure token handling, certificate/pinning awareness, biometric authentication, and secure coding practices.

  • JUnit, MockK/Mockito, Espresso, Compose UI testing, mocking, testable design, code coverage, and regression support.

  • Android Studio, Gradle, Git, dependency management, profilers, CI/CD, signing, build variants, and Google Play workflows.
