SQL Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with extensive SSRS experience to join our data and

business intelligence team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust relational databases while

transforming complex data sets into meaningful reporting solutions. You will collaborate closely with business

stakeholders, analysts, and project managers to gather technical requirements and deliver automated,

high-performance dashboards, matrices, and paginated reports.

Core Responsibilities

• Database Development: Design and implement highly scalable database objects, including complex

stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and indexing strategies to manipulate and manage data.

• Report Authoring (SSRS): Design, build, test, and deploy interactive, matrix, parameterized, drill-down,

and drill-through reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

• Data Integration & ETL: Build, maintain, and schedule SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

packages to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from disparate sources into the data warehouse.

• Performance Tuning: Analyze query execution plans and report execution times to diagnose bottlenecks,

optimize heavily utilized SQL queries, and ensure reporting infrastructure remains performant.

• Report Administration: Configure and maintain report subscriptions, user access controls, rendering

formats, and security profiles within the SSRS Report Server web portal.

• Business Collaboration: Translate fluid business requirements into concrete technical specifications,

acting as the subject matter expert for reporting and data delivery.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or

equivalent practical experience).

• SQL Server Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (versions 2014 and above preferred) and

robust relational database query writing.

• Reporting Tools: Minimum 3+ years of specialized experience authoring reports using SSRS and Microsoft

Report Builder.

• ETL Capabilities: Strong working knowledge of SSIS for data warehouse integration and workflow

automation.

• Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of troubleshooting

complex data anomalies and processing bottlenecks.

• Communication: Strong communication skills to interact seamlessly with both technical team members

and non-technical business partners.

Preferred / “Nice-to-Have” Skills

• ERP Management (Epicor): Experience with Epicor ERP database schemas, including creating Business

Activity Queries (BAQs) and managing Epicor Report Styles inside SSRS.

• Business Intelligence Platforms: Hands-on experience with modern business intelligence platforms like
• Programming: Basic programming familiarity in C# or .NET to support advanced Epicor screen

customizations, scripts, or application database integrations.
