Lead Software Engineer

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development.
• Solid communication, documentation, and collaborative/teamwork skills.
• Applied knowledge in object-oriented design and multi-threaded programming is desirable.
• Engineering skills in one or more languages widely used for software development. C/C++ and Java are preferred, however either is acceptable. Experience with Python is also desirable.
• Ability to work onsite in Syracuse or Utica, NY, with frequent support at AFRL Rome, NY.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Active TS/SCI Department of Defense Security Clearance is preferred. Otherwise, must have U.S. Citizenship and be eligible for a Department of Defense security clearance., * Bachelor’s (Required), * in software development: 5 years (Required)

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer based out of our Utica, NY office. The candidate should have a strong background in software development. A successful candidate will work on projects that involve one or more engineering functions, i.e., research, design, development, testing, and evaluation. Technical areas include, but are not limited to, software development for high-performance computers, modeling and simulation of sensor systems, software tool development, visualization of data and algorithms, and real-time embedded processing. This position will require involvement in the full life cycle of software development, including delivery and documentation. The candidate is required to be able to work both independently
