Software Engineer-TypeScript, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL

Innova Software Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications, build reliable backend APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.

This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with modern web technologies, and the ability to contribute to technical design, code quality, and engineering best practices., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Node.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Build reusable frontend components and maintainable backend services.
• Translate functional requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Write clean, well-documented, efficient, and testable code.

Backend Engineering and API Development

• Develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain microservices and backend integrations.
• Work with GraphQL, JSON, and modern API design patterns.
• Develop database-driven applications using PostgreSQL and other relational or NoSQL technologies.
• Support data modeling, SQL optimization, and application integration.
• Work with messaging systems such as Kafka.

Frontend Engineering

• Develop responsive user interfaces using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement application specifications.
• Ensure consistent functionality across supported browsers.
• Improve frontend performance, usability, and code maintainability.

Software Quality and Engineering Practices

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Implement unit testing and end-to-end testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Follow established coding standards and development practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Cloud and DevOps

• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Support containerized application development using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate on deployment, testing, and DevOps workflows.
• Apply appropriate software security and operational best practices.

Team Collaboration and Technical Leadership

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and technical leads.
• Participate in Agile and Scrum development activities.
• Support technical discussions, design reviews, and project planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and share engineering best practices.
• Communicate technical issues and project updates clearly.

Software Engineering, PostgreSQL, Node.js, React.js, Software Engineering, PostgreSQL, Node.js, React.js, Application Programming Interface (API), Cross-Functional, * 8+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Strong experience developing full-stack web applications.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, GraphQL, and JSON.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience participating in code reviews and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Dallas, Texas, five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Experience optimizing complex, database-driven applications.
