Frontend & Product Software Engineer - AI Startups

• Building polished, responsive, and intuitive web applications
• Developing production user interfaces using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
• Creating user experiences for complex, data-intensive, or AI-powered products
• Translating product requirements, customer needs, and technical concepts into usable features
• Owning features from initial concept and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and iteration

• Approximately 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong production experience with TypeScript and React
• Experience building and shipping customer-facing web applications
• Experience owning meaningful product features from concept through production
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, application state, testing, and browser performance
• Ability to build responsive, polished, and maintainable user interfaces
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and backend services
• Strong product judgment and attention to user experience
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing or ambiguous requirements
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco multiple days per week; some opportunities require five days onsite

• Production experience with Next.js
• Experience at an early-stage, high-growth, or venture-backed startup
• Evidence of building zero-to-one products or major features
• Measurable examples of product, customer, operational, or business impact
• Experience with data-heavy, analytics, developer-tool, infrastructure, or AI-powered products
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Node.js, tRPC, PostgreSQL, or AWS
• Experience working directly with product users or customers
• Experience collaborating with machine-learning, data, or research teams
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field

Base salaries generally range from approximately $175,000 to $275,000, depending on the company, position, location, and candidate’s level of experience. Many opportunities also offer competitive equity and comprehensive employee benefits.
