Job description

Take on a new challenge and put your software development expertise into practice in an innovative, cutting-edge field. At Alstom, the TestPlatform team designs and develops test systems and benches used to validate complete trains. In practical terms, we create environments that simulate and virtualize the entire operation of a train (behavior, equipment, networks, etc.), enabling validation teams to efficiently test systems before they enter service.

On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with program teams (system engineers, validation engineers, etc.), contribute to adding new features and designing new products, and much more.

We will rely on you to:

  • Bring your expertise and versatility in programming languages such as C/C++ on Linux, Web technologies (C# .NET, JavaScript), and Python
  • Develop and integrate new software features
  • Analyze and fix software issues on TestPlatform products
  • Improve our tools and practices: CI/CD (GitLab CI), test automation, monitoring, etc.
  • Write technical documentation, including specifications and test procedures
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure software quality
  • Collaborate closely with teams in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science (Engineering School or equivalent university qualification)
  • Experience with or understanding of industrial environments
  • Knowledge of programming in multiple languages
  • Ability to work as part of a team, particularly in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments
  • Strong analytical and adaptability skills
  • Interest in software, new technologies, and a proactive mindset
  • Strong rigor and problem-solving abilities for technical challenges
