IT Manager for MSP

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of IT engineers and specialists.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture.
• Align team objectives with the company’s strategic goals and client success.

Project Management

• Own end-to-end project execution-from discovery and planning through delivery and post-implementation review.
• Define project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget adherence.
• Utilize project management platforms (ConnectWise Manage) to manage tasks, timelines, and client expectations.

Technical Strategy & Execution

• Leverage in-depth technical expertise to oversee complex IT deployments including server migrations, cloud implementations, cybersecurity upgrades, and network overhauls.
• Work cross-functionally with service desk, engineering, and account management teams.

Vendor & Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain productive relationships with key technology vendors.
• Evaluate and recommend vendors based on client requirements and cost-effectiveness.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout project delivery, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.

Security & Compliance

• Champion cybersecurity best practices using tools such as SIEM, EDR, and MFA.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Coordinate with internal and client security teams during audits and implementations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in IT infrastructure, MSP operations, and cybersecurity-paired with proven leadership, project management, and vendor negotiation skills., * RMM: ConnectWise Automate, SolarWinds N-central (or equivalent)

• PSA: ConnectWise Manage (strongly preferred)
• Antivirus & EDR: Bitdefender, Sophos, SentinelOne

Infrastructure & Cloud:

• Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V
• Networking: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet firewalls; VPN configuration
• Cloud: Experience with Azure or AWS environments preferred

Communication & Collaboration:

• Microsoft 365, Teams, Slack, Zoom or similar conferencing platforms

Data & Reporting (Bonus Skills):

• Experience in business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Strong presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 11+ years of IT experience, with 6+ years in a leadership or project management role.
• Prior experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment is required.
• Project Management certification (PMP, ITIL, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and client management skills.

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts
• On-call availability required
• Weekend work as needed based on project schedules

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to reliably commute to Bridgewater, NJ.
• Must be able to relocate to Bridgewater, NJ, prior to start date.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
