Senior Test Systems (Python) Integration Engineer - H10 Aerospace

We are seeking a Senior Test Systems Integration Engineer to develop and maintain software platforms that control automated electronic test systems and Ground Support Equipment (GSE)., * Design, develop, and maintain Python software for automated electronic test systems and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

• Build reusable instrument drivers, communication interfaces, and software components for automated testing.
• Develop and support test execution frameworks, including sequencing, scheduling, concurrency, error handling, logging, and monitoring.
• Integrate software with physical laboratory instrumentation and electronic test equipment.
• Contribute to test-system architecture decisions, including evaluating technical approaches and engineering tradeoffs.
• Develop measurement acquisition, data processing, and test results management software.
• Translate Integration & Test requirements into reliable, maintainable automated test procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues and support laboratory and production test operations.
• Maintain professional software engineering practices, including code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD, documentation, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, systems, manufacturing, and Integration & Test engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design reviews.

The ideal candidate combines strong Python development skills with hands-on experience integrating laboratory instrumentation and software-controlled test systems. This role involves developing reusable test infrastructure, supporting hardware/software integration, and contributing to test-system architecture and technical decisions. Recent aerospace industry experience is strongly preferred., * Strong professional experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Python applications.

• Hands-on experience building, integrating, or developing software for physical test equipment, laboratory instrumentation, GSE, ATE, or similar automated test systems.
• Demonstrated experience using software to communicate with and control physical instruments or hardware devices.
• Ability to explain test-system architecture, technical decisions, and engineering tradeoffs from previous projects.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and software development principles.
• Strong hardware/software integration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Git, configuration management, unit testing, and established software development practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across engineering disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience., * Recent aerospace or defense industry experience, particularly with electronic test systems or GSE.
• Experience with VISA, SCPI, PyVISA, or similar instrument communication technologies.
• Experience with asynchronous Python, asyncio, or concurrent programming.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), simulation, or emulation.
• Familiarity with serial interfaces, CAN, TCP/IP, and other hardware communication protocols.
• Experience with production testing or high-reliability electronic systems.
• Experience developing reusable software libraries or components used across multiple projects.
• Experience developing front-end interfaces for laboratory or rack-based test applications.
• Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.

The pay range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including by not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate. Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 per annum. H10 provides eligible employees (those who are scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week) with a range of benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, PTO, and a 401k plan.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
