Job description
Join our Orlando team as a Systems Engineer (Contract, L4) and play a pivotal part in advancing next-generation rotary-wing training. You’ll engineer high-fidelity simulations of aircraft survivability equipment and threat scenarios for rotary-wing platforms like the CH-53K and MH-60R/CG. Leverage your systems-thinking mindset and MBSE expertise to create impactful, mission-driven training solutions that prepare crews for real-world challenges., Develop and refine simulation models for aircraft survivability systems, including chaff/flares, warning receivers, countermeasures, and threat scenarios.
- Define and document system behavior, requirements, architecture, interfaces, and traceability using SysML and Cameo.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-software engineers, pilots, instructors, and subject-matter experts-to ensure accurate scenario representation and training effectiveness.
- Analyze and model aircraft systems and malfunctions, including fault injection, degraded modes, and crew response cues.
- Decompose requirements, build use-case models, and define system interfaces to support robust software and test engineering.
- Evaluate AI-assisted research and documentation tools, ensuring results meet technical, operational, and training standards.
Requirements
Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer in aerospace, defense, or simulation domains.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MBSE, SysML, and Cameo for requirements analysis, system architecture, and behavioral modeling.
- Strong understanding of aircraft survivability equipment and threat modeling.
- Proven background in simulation or mission-related aircraft systems modeling.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to independently evaluate AI-generated outputs for technical credibility.
[Preferred Skills]
- Experience with rotary-wing operations, pilot training, or simulator environments.
- Knowledge of aircraft mission scenarios, fault propagation, and degraded mode modeling.
- Familiarity with chaff/flares, threat cues, countermeasure logic, and defensive response modeling.
Benefits & conditions
Work on innovative IRAD efforts impacting next-generation military training.
- Collaborate with leading experts and grow your domain knowledge in aircraft survivability and simulation.
- Exposure to cutting-edge MBSE tools and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Flexible, supportive work environment that values rapid learners and complementary expertise.
